Day Care Center Or Home Day Care
Which One Should You Choose For Your Child?
Day Care Centers are highly structured environments and from what I have seen, they are sometimes very hectic places.
This might be fine for some children but it may not be the best fit for all children.
Cheryl*s Day Care provides structure for your child, along with a comfortable, relaxed environment for them to learn
and grow at their own pace.
I offer a Pre-School program in addition to a Early Kindergarten Readiness Program that teaches the children the same basic
learning skills that most Day Care Centers provide.
My daycare children love doing the activities and crafts that I have for them each week. These
activities are age appropriate and children learn at their own pace.
For the younger set, we have "tummy time" and lots of other opportunities to develop motor skills and mental skills as
they grow. Each child gets a lot of one on one attention from me.
Day Care Centers have a tendency to move children to different rooms as they grow. A child could
feel a loss of security, if their caregiver is always changing. I feel that it is very important for
a child to see the same caregiver and friends every day. Structure and consistency is very important at this stage
in their lives.
At Cheryl's Day Care, your child will have the same caregiver each day, every day. This is a family run
child care, so there is no staff turnover.
I always encourage my daycare parents to get to know one another because their children will make lasting friendships
here at daycare. It is very beneficial for your child to extend that friendship outside of daycare and to allow that
friendship to flourish.
I always make the children in my care feel that daycare is their "home away from home". I continually
strive to make Cheryl's Day Care a great experience for you and your child.
